Hi, I'm Ron DeSimone and it has always been my passion to design and build custom homes. I started my career by studying architecture at the University of Miami, and in 1980 I became a Florida Licensed General Contractor. Through the years I have designed and managed commercial and residential projects along the east coast from New York to Florida and in the British West Indies. In 1999 I moved to the mountains of Waynesville/Maggie Valley North Carolina and became a North Carolina General Contractor in 2002.
My focus is designing and building "Green Buildings" under the National Association of Home Builders Green Building program, the North Carolina Healthy-Built Home Program, and the U.S. Department of Energy's Energy Star certification program.
I served two years as President of the Haywood County Home Builders Association, and was voted Haywood HBA Builder of the Year for 2006 and again in 2007. I am also Chairman of the Maggie Valley Zoning Board of Adjustments, and a North Carolina Licensed Real Estate Broker with Elk Country Realty.
